Couples for Christ (CFC) Japan is a Catholic movement intended for the renewal and strengthening of Christian family life.
CFC Japan couples have committed themselves to the Lord and to one another so that they may grow in maturity as men and women of God and fulfill their primary vocation of raising families grounded in Christian values, in the service and love of God.
CFC Japan started in March 1996 in Tokyo and is now present in different dioceses and areas around Japan. View the CFC Japan's historical timeline here.
Couples for Christ Japan is currently present in these areas and prefectures;
KITA-KANTO: Gunma, Nagano, Saitama, Tochigi
KANTO: Chiba, Tokyo, Kanagawa(Yamato, Yokohama/Kawasaki)
KANSAI-CHUBU: Aichi(Mikawa, Nagoya), Mie(Suzuka), Osaka, Hyogo, Hiroshima
Couples for Christ Japan is headed by the Country Head, together with the Area Governance Team (AGT) composed of five brothers including the country head. Each member of the AGT holds the function of the five pillars of governance on Evangelization and Mission, Family Ministries, Pastoral Formation Office (PFO), Answering the Cry of the Poor (ANCOP), and Mission Support. They also serve as the pastoral heads of the different areas where CFC Japan is present.
